National Activities

INVENT         

The INVENT initiative aims to enhance safety, avoid accidents and reduce congestion by making traffic intelligent with help of modern information and communication technologies. Key focus of the research initiative is the development of enhanced “assistance systems” which are to be used simply and intuitively. Since the initiative is about to be finished, a special session at the ITS European Congress 2005 in Hanover takes the unique opportunity to give a detailed presentation on the mayor results achieved in the fields of  “Driver Assistance and Active Safety”, as well as possibilities for a future “Traffic Management 2010” and new logistic approaches for the delivery of goods by “Traffic Management in Transport and Logistics”, which formed the 3 INVENT projects".
