IP D3 IP Dissemination Plan

IP Deliverable

IPD3 is the same document as IPD5.11-13

IP Confidential document

Executive summary

It is one of the main challenges of an Integrated Project (IP) to effectively disseminate the results and the knowledge gathered by all project partners. It is important to reach a common agreement and understanding of the IP Dissemination plans, in order to ensure the coherence of the project and help it to reach the critical mass for social, economical and political exploitation of its results.

This document describes the approach undertaken in the IP PReVENT in order to disseminate the results of the project – both at the IP and Subproject levels - contributing to a broader public, scientific and technical awareness of PReVENT activities and preventive and active safety in general.

After one year of activities, the PReVENT consortium has produced a series of results that are used in the dissemination material. This document is the revision of the first dissemination plan published in September 2005.

The dissemination strategy for PReVENT comprehends the Subproject individual dissemination activities according to IP guidelines and accompanied by IP Dissemination activities. As an harmonisation effort, the IP Dissemination revised the IP identity at all levels (IP and SP levels). As a result, new subproject logos and new presentation templates have been enforced. Also, specific rules on the use of logos and colours have been set up in order to bring an integrated image to the IP PReVENT.

The IP Dissemination provides a single point of entry to dynamic information through a website (www.prevent-ip.org) at which all Subproject activities are represented. A regular electronic newsflashes on the first page of the website will attract the attention of the interest groups around PReVENT. An increased effort is being spent in order to maintain the website up-to-date with attractive information regarding public deliverables, future and past events, publications, and press releases. IP PReVENT has published printed material and presented the project at key events such as ITS world congress in Nagoya. The Subprojects will furthermore follow the IP guidelines for identity, posters and press releases. A new set of flyers and posters have been printed for the first open workshop on IP requirements. This document provides as well information to the European Commission, Core Group and IP Management to monitor and support the dissemination of PReVENT activities.

For Subprojects, this document provides guidelines for Subproject dissemination actions as well as information on support to be expected from the IP Dissemination.
The dissemination plan and strategy will be re-evaluated on its effectiveness and updated at least yearly during the project life.
